The DOAJ directory collects information on scholarly and scientific OA journals in all languages and disciplines. It does not conduct peer review of journals, but the inclusion criteria include a large number of formal requirements to meet publication standards. Each journal is reviewed by a DOAJ collaborator from that country or region, in an effort to prevent the indexing of potentially predatory journals.
