The Open Science Center of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) was established on January 1st, 2026 within the CTU Central Library as a central methodological hub for Open Science. The Center provides systematic support to the CTU academic community in all key areas of Open Science.

The Center was founded within the project: OP JAK Research Environment: Strategic Development of the Research Environment at CTU in Prague, specifically as part of Key Activity 8: Strategic Development and Advancement of Open Science at CTU.

What we do

The Center offers expert methodological support, consultations, training, and educational activities in the following areas:

  • Open Access publishing
  • Creative Commons licensing
  • Article Processing Charges (APCs) and OA funding opportunities, CTU transformative agreements
  • Research Data Management (RDM) and the application of FAIR principles
  • Persistent identifiers for Open Science, especially ORCID and DOI at CTU
  • Support for editorial teams of scholarly journals in Open Access publishing
